June 2026 — Data-driven storefront

  • Migrated the whole storefront to a data-driven model. Adding a theme is now a single config edit — its homepage card, detail page, live preview, and changelog all read from one source instead of hand-maintained pages.
  • This is the groundwork for the 100-theme roadmap: scaling the catalog no longer means scaling the busywork.
  • Shipped an honest rebrand of the site messaging — every page now describes exactly what we deliver today: complete, production-ready contractor websites you make yours in an afternoon, not generic starters you wire up yourself.

June 2026 — Every theme ships AI-ready

  • Every theme now ships an llms.txt map and a tuned CLAUDE.md. Point an AI coding agent (Claude Code, Cursor) at the theme, ask it to rebrand, and it edits src/data/business.json plus your brand color — no spelunking through the codebase first.
  • Rebrand and customize the entire site from a prompt, then run npm run build. This is the headline differentiator across the whole catalog.

2026 — Optional Sanity CMS addon

  • Added a guided, opt-in Sanity CMS addon. Prefer a visual editor over plain JSON? Follow the ~30-minute install to swap the business.json data source for Sanity Studio.
  • Sanity is optional and never bundled — themes ship driven by a single src/data/business.json file by default, and you add the CMS only if you want it.

2026 — Services themes launch

  • Launched 5 complete Services themes, each with a live demo: Aircrest HVAC, Brightwire Electrical, Copperline Plumbing, Ridgeline Roofing, and Greenfield Lawn Care.
  • Every theme is a full local-service website out of the box — a city × service local-SEO landing-page engine, complete JSON-LD schema (LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage, AggregateRating, BreadcrumbList), GA4 lead tracking, a zip-code service-area checker, a Q&A blog engine, and booking hooks.
  • Built on Astro (static output, zero client-side JS framework) and Tailwind CSS v4 (configured in CSS via @theme tokens — no tailwind.config file), tuned for a strong Lighthouse score and fully responsive.

More trades coming soon as we build toward 50 themes.

2026 — Checkout moved to Polar

  • Checkout now runs on Polar. One-time purchase, no subscriptions: $99 for full access to every current and future theme.
  • Themes are delivered as private GitHub repo access. Includes lifetime use, lifetime updates, and Discord & email support at [email protected].
  • One license per production website. Bundled fonts are SIL OFL and redistributable.
